Privacy Policy

This policy explains what CareerPulse ("we", "us") collects when you visit careerpulses.lovable.app, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We run a reader-supported publication about jobs, scholarships, finance, tech, investing and personal growth — we do not sell personal data.
1. What we collect directly from you
- Newsletter opt-in — when you subscribe to the CareerPulse weekly briefing, we store your email address and the page you subscribed from so we can send the newsletter and measure which pages drive sign-ups.
- Contact form — when you use the form on /contact, we store the name, email, subject and message you submit so we can reply. Messages sit in our editorial inbox and internal database and are not shared publicly.
2. Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of first-party cookies to remember your cookie-consent choice and, if consent is granted, to run privacy-respecting analytics that tell us anonymised things like which article you arrived on and how long the page loaded. We do not build advertising profiles from analytics data.
3. Google AdSense and Google-partner cookies
CareerPulse displays advertising served by Google AdSense. As required by Google:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website and other sites on the internet.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to CareerPulse and other sites.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
If we introduce additional ad partners in future, they will be listed here and will each be subject to the same disclosure.
4. Third-party links
Our articles frequently link out to external job boards, scholarship portals, university admissions pages, finance products and news sources. Once you follow one of those links, the destination site's own privacy policy takes over. We do not control what those third parties collect or how they use it, so please read their notices before providing personal information.
5. How long we keep data
Newsletter subscribers stay on our list until you unsubscribe (every issue includes an unsubscribe link). Contact form messages are retained for as long as needed to handle the conversation and for a reasonable audit window after that.
6. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to (a) tell you what personal data we hold about you, (b) correct it, or (c) delete it. Email careerpulsehelp@gmail.com and we will action the request within a reasonable time. To opt out of the newsletter, use the unsubscribe link in any issue.
7. Changes to this policy
When we update this policy we update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes to how we handle data will also be flagged in the next weekly briefing so subscribers see them.
